Project Overview
CopLock is a trusted Australian car anti-theft device designed to prevent vehicle theft by locking the brake pedal. The goal was to design a high-converting, single-product e-commerce experience that builds immediate trust, educates the user on a niche physical product, and removes purchasing friction.

The Problem
CopLockโs previous digital presence faced challenges:
- Outdated visual design reduced trust at the point of purchase.
- Product information was not user-friendly and was difficult to scan.
- Lack of clear storytelling reduced engagement and conversion.
Solution & Key Design Decisions
- The redesign focused on improving trust, clarity, and conversion. The homepage restructured to communicate the value proposition immediately.
- Product information was reorganized into scannable sections explaining how the device works, its anti-tampering benefits, and whatโs included, making it easier for non-technical users to understand without feeling overwhelmed.
- To support conversion, the purchase flow was streamlined by highlighting key benefits at decision points and removing unnecessary steps, creating a more direct path to checkout.
- A consistent visual system reinforced reliability and safety through a dark-neutral palette, high-contrast typography for readability, and clean spacing to maintain strong hierarchy across pages.
Outcome & Impact
- Brand trust and credibility improved through a cleaner interface and clearer messaging.
- Product understanding increased, especially for non-technical users.
- The website redesign contributed to a 23% improvement in conversion rate after launch based on client reported sales data.
